The English artist speaks from the heart, adding lush orchestral aspects to his daring left-field pop vision. Uniting once more with long-time collaborator Charlie Andrew – who has worked alongside alt-J and London Grammar – new song ‘Overtime Lover’ is a lush, ambitious return.
Breaking down his music to its core aspects, the song speaks of emotion fatigue, and the desire to preserve your energy. The beatific vocal is clipped, and potent, while the arrangement extends ever outwards.
