Sinden is set to curate a new compilation looking back at two years in the life of his label Grizzly.
Founded two years ago, Sinden’s Grizzly imprint has had an almost immediate impact. Showcasing the producer’s eclectic tastes, the label has provided a home to well known artists and newcomers alike.
Celebrating its 2nd anniversary, Grizzly will head out on the road with a number of special tour dates. Getting misty eyed, Sinden has curated a one off compilation featuring some of the label’s finest moments.
‘Grizzly: Pull Up – A Two Year Retrospective’ is set to be released in April, with the tracklisting containing some collaborations, some remixes, a few re-edits and of course a couple of surprises.
Check out the tracklisting below and then read a few 2nd birthday reminiscences from Sinden himself…

“It’s a tough call, but track of the year on Grizzly for me is Melé’s ‘Trappin’. Here’s Modeselektor dropping it from earlier this year at Elektron. It’s never let me down and I’ve played it all over the world this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9kYawVUbps
The first label party in April this year was in conjunction with The Lost Boyz Club in Nottingham which was an absolute roadblock! Watch Melé surf the crowd, managing to make his way back to the stage intact: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bJVmbJdiHk
Another highlight of 2011 was exporting the popular Grizzly parties in the UK over to LA. Brenmar, 5kinandbone5 and myself teamed up with weekly club party Dance Right. Look out for us internationally in 2012!
Another big move this year was widening the artist roster – Melé, Brenmar, Distal & 5kinandbone5 all dropped solo offerings. We even managed to secure 2 tracks featuring Def Jam’s YG on 5kinandbone5’s release. A massive coup.
Looking into 2012 we’ll kick the New Year off with my very first solo track on the label featuring dancehall artist Natalie Storm from Jamaica with a healthy remix package featuring Dillon Francis & Riton. Watch out for releases from existing artists as well as Chiefli, a new project featuring our boy Brenmar with Daniel Nguzunguzu.”
