Simple Minds Announce Plans For New Album ‘Direction Of The Heart’

It's out on October 21st...

Simple Minds will release new album 'Direction Of The Heart' on October 21st.

The new album was largely written in Sicily, where both Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill now live.

Quarantine rules meant the band couldn't travel to the UK, so Simple Minds based themselves in Hamburg’s Chameleon Studios during recording.

Out on October 21st, the nine track record boasts a few surprises, including the voice of – Russell Mael of Sparks – on 'Human Traffic', while album closer 'The Walls Came Down' was initially written by The Call.

New single 'Vision Thing' is online now, and it's billed as a salute to Jim Kerr's "best pal" – his father, who passed away in 2019.

Tune in now.
