Silverbacks Share Art-Rock Blaster ‘Wear My Medals’

They're set to hit the road this October...

Dublin art-punk outfit Silverbacks return with new single 'Wear My Medals'.

The band's 2020 debut album 'Fad' won across the board acclaim – not least on these digital pages – and let to a Choice nomination.

Since then, Silverbacks have penned a deal with Full Time Hobby, while they've also begun work on new material.

New single 'Wear My Medals' comes as the group prepare for an October tour, including a London date at the Dalston Victoria on October 28th.

Guitarist Kilian O’Kelly explains: “From the very start, we’ve always wanted to be a ‘career band'. We don’t see the point in not constantly making music – if you’re lucky enough to be able to make music you like and enjoy it, why put restrictions on it?”

'Wear My Medals' eases Silverbacks into a different space, a song that evolves so rapidly that it arrives and departs in quite distinct spaces.

Lauren Gregory's claymation video brings their unusual songwriting to life, and her DIY flourishes perfectly match their music.
