Silver Columns Remix Competition

'Brow Beaten' to be re-issued

Silver Columns are inviting fans to remix their single ‘Brow Beaten’ as part of a new competition.

Formed by two mavericks from the DIY folk scene, Silver Columns was a startling about turn for Adem and The Pictish Trail. Digging out classic house records, the pair began crafting disco-pop anthems.

Working in their spare time, early demos found their way to Moshi Moshi who were charmed enough to snap the band up immediately. Debut album ‘Yes And Dance’ arrived earlier this year, displaying plenty of jaunty charm.

Wonky synth-pop, the album collected their early material into a handy whole. Silver Columns paid tribute to 80s acts such as Erasure, as well as displaying an inventive approach to production.

Attracting attention from high profile producers, upcoming single ‘Brow Beaten’ is due to be released on November 29th. The original will take pride of place alongside reworkings from Optimo, Joe Goddard and more.

As a special bonus, your version could appear on a future EP. Moshi Moshi are preparing a special remix EP, with one lucky fan having their remix given an official release.
