Icelandic group Sigur Ros have allowed one of their songs to appear in the latest installment of legendary computer game Prince of Persia.
The groups’ track “Saeglopur” – taken from their 2005 album “Takk” – is set to soundtrack the new game, made by Ubisoft. The “Prince of Persia” series is a rebooted version of the platform classic, originally released in 1989. Developed for the Apple II, it was a huge leap forward in gaming technology.
The series was brought back to life by Ubisoft, who previously used the Massive Attack classic “Teardrop” to soundtrack their game “Assassin’s Creed”.
Sigur Ros recently released their fifth full length album “Meo suo A eyrum vio spilum endalaust” on June 23rd. The band are set to play the Latitude festival this weekend.
