Iceland’s favourite sons Sigur Ros have announced details of a new album ‘Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust’ which in English means ‘With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly’, due to be released on June 23rd.
Their fifth album, and the first to be recorded outside Iceland, saw sessions take place in London, New York and even Havana, Cuba.
Following up their ‘Heima’ documentary and accompanying album, the new album sees a continuation of that project’s stripped down sound with a marked drop in the trademark reverb heavy production.
