Shigeto is set to release new album 'No Better Time Than Now' on August 19th.
Real name Zach Saginaw, Shigeto has always thrown himself into new things, always strived to push ahead. However new album 'No Better Time Than Now' is born from some rather unexpected changes in his life.
Musing on this recently, the producer explained: "2012 was a powerful year for me. I released my second LP; I played nearly 180 shows in 360 days; I made the move back home from Brooklyn, NY to Detroit, MI; a six-year relationship of mine came to an end and I made it 30 years on the planet."
This sense of introversion is matched on the new material – indeed, one track is called 'Soul Searching' – but Shigeto always urges himself to look outward.

Out this summer, the new album is set to be accompanied by a slew of live shows. If you're in London tonight (June 14th) then you might fancy popping along to Electrowerkz to catch Shigeto in action. 'No Better Time Than Now' is set to be released on August 19th.
