Sheryl Crow Diagnosed With Brain Tumour

Singer undergoing treatment

American artist Sheryl Crow has revealed that she is suffering from a benign brain tumour.

Sheryl Crow battled back from breast cancer in 2006, leaving fans touched by the courage in which she faced the illness. Sadly, it seems that the singer is again fearful for her health after revealing that she is now suffering from a brain tumour.

Speaking to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the American artist revealed that the tumour was identified earlier this year. Thankfully, the growth is benign meaning that the impact to her health is limited.

“I haven’t really talked about it” she explained. “In November, I found out I have a brain tumour. But it’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it. But it gives me a fit.”

Continuing, the singer said: “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). And I found out I have a brain tumour. And I was like, ‘See? I knew there was something wrong’.”

In a follow up statement on her Facebook page Sheryl Crow re-assured fans that she was on the mend. “Hey everyone – please don’t worry about my “brain tumor”, it’s a non-cancerous growth. I know some folks can have problems with this kind of thing, but I want to assure everyone I’m OK. I’m feeling very healthy and happy, and having a great time on the road playing with my new band. I’m busy working on my next record too, which ‘m very excited about…and I’ll be on The Tony Awards this Sunday. Really appreciate everyone’s love and concern, I feel so blessed to have the support of all my fans, but I’m good – really! Love, Sheryl”.
