A continual thorn in the side of the more complacent side of American indie rock, Shellac have led a deeply independent career.
Recording whenever the hell they feel like it, the band's last album 'Excellent Italian Greyhound' dropped back in 2007. Since then, the band have played all manner of live shows, including more than a few secret ATP endeavours.
Well, the wait for new material is over. New album 'Dude Incredible' will be released in September, with Tough & Go stepping in to show support.
Recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago, the press release itself is remarkably particular. Quick example: "There is no comma in Dude Incredible; like Sir Duke or King Friday , for example."
The statement also points out that although Shellac will be playing live shows, these won't necessarily correlate with the album release. "The band will continue to play shows or tour at the same sporadic and relaxed pace as always," it says. "There is no correlation between shows and record releases ."
'Dude Incredible' will be released on September 16th. Tracklisting:

4 Riding Bikes
5 All the Surveyors
