Shelf Lives Blast Back With ‘Uncle Fred’

And announce plans for a London headline show...

Shelf Lives return with new rocker ‘Uncle Fred’.

The trans-Atlantic indie punks are making serious waves, having worked non-stop for 12 months. Supporting Lynks on a string of UK shows, Shelf Lives are now ready to unveil a new single, and open out a fresh era.

‘Uncle Fred’ is an all-out rocker, matching hardcore energy to some chaotic songwriting. The tale of a Priest with an – ahem – over-the-top relationship with Jesus, the subversive, tongue-in-cheek lyrics carry a note of freedom.

A punchy indie-punk banger, ‘Uncle Fred’ is carried off with wit and panache. Shelf Lives comment…

“Can you imagine if there was a priest (maybe…named Fred) that was so in love with Jesus that he thought he might be sexually attracted to him?  Can you imagine the inner turmoil and mental chaos that would most likely cause? It could happen… it probably has.”

Looking ahead, Shelf Lives will play London’s Moth Club on October 23rd.

Tune in now.
