Soulful diva Sharon Jones has messaged from fans from hospital, giving an update on her condition.
If nu-soul is real phenomenon, then Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings are most definitely the genuine article. Prime soul cuts in a vintage manner, the band have managed to take their music to an international audience.
New album 'Give The People What They Want' was due to be released this summer, but the band was dealt an enormous blow when Sharon Jones was diagnosed with a stage one tumour in her bile duct.
Taken to hospital, the singer has undergone surgery. Obviously a worrying time, Sharon Jones has sent a series of heart-warming messages to fans via Twitter.
