Sharifa’s ‘Bedroom Light’ Searches For Connection

A beautiful new single...

Sharifa returns with new song ‘BEDROOM LIGHT’.

The East Midlands native followed his dream to London two years ago, quickly immersing himself in the city’s music scene. Still only 18-year-old, Sharifa has been on a real journey, melding the hip-hop that grabbed has a teen with an assured alt-pop sound.

New single ‘BEDROOM LIGHT’ is about those long nights of the soul, when everything feels out of kilter. Trapped in ennui, Sharifa gradually comes to realise that these experiences are what bonds us – everyone has, at some time or another, felt like this.

A softly alluring song, ‘BEDROOM LIGHT’ seeks out connection, wherever it can be found. An all-too-relatable hymn, it’s online now – Sharifa comments…

I wrote ‘Bedroom Light’ when it was 2am in the morning. I was going through an unusual time of emotional struggle and uncertainty and was reflecting on that as I wrote the track. There’s a lot of self-reflection, hopelessness, stubbornness and introspection in the lyrics. I came to the conclusion that it’s okay to feel trapped by your surroundings and in your own head. I want people to know they aren’t alone in feeling that way. So many of our struggles are universal human experiences.

Tune in now.
