Virgin Money – the bank supported by Richard Branson – has unveiled plans for a range of credit cards using Sex Pistols' imagery.
Jamie Reid's designs will appear on a new range, including two cards based on 'Never Mind The Bollocks… Here's The Sex Pistols' and the band's debut single 'Anarchy In The UK'.
The instantly recognisable designs will be available later this year, with Virgin Money commenting that it's “time for consumers to put a little bit of rebellion in their pocket”.
The Guardian quotes Michele Greene, the bank’s director of cards, as saying: “In launching these cards, we wanted to celebrate Virgin’s heritage and difference. The Sex Pistols challenged convention and the established ways of thinking – just as we are doing today in our quest to shake up UK banking.”
