Self Esteem’s ‘Moody’ Is Magnificent

"Of fucking course I'm moody!"

Self Esteem returns with new single 'Moody'.

Rebecca Taylor's new album 'Prioritise Pleasure' lands on October 22nd, and it follows some exceptional singles and a handful of truly extraordinary festival slots.

Out now, 'Moody' will only serve to increase the thirst for her new project, a magnificent single that relishes the subtle art of not being arsed.

A devilishly subversive pop song, 'Moody' manages to be somehow catchy, while also revealing some highly personal truths.

As ever, Self Esteem's barbed lyrical pen stuns and amuses: “sexting you at the mental health talk seems counterproductive…”

She comments…

"'Moody' is a song about reclaiming being a moody cow. My whole life I’ve been referred to as mardy (northern for moody) but lately I’ve been realising as a woman in this world, especially as a woman in the music industry, of fucking course I’m moody! It’s such a slog even getting heard, every day shitting yourself about your safety, the societal expectations. I’d love to be sweet and happy go lucky but I’m afraid I’m too tired to be most of the time."
