Self Esteem won the DICE Live Music Award last night (November 22nd).
The annual prize rewards artists who excel in the live sector, with previous winners ranging from Wolf Alice and Little Simz through to Dave, Loyle Carner, and slowthai.
The full shortlist was unveiled a few weeks ago, with Fred again.., Gabriels, Obongjayar and Shygirl joined by Self Esteem.
The ceremony took place at London’s newly inaugurated Lower Third venue, with Self Esteem emerging triumphant.
Speaking on her win, Self Esteem said: “Thank you fans and thank you DICE. I can’t believe this, I finally feel like Hayley from Paramore. Thank you also to my band who are amazing. This is for all of you guys – I’m genuinely really chuffed.”
Phil Hutcheon, Founder & CEO of DICE said: “It was great to bring the DICE Live Award back again, to recognise Self Esteem alongside the talented artists raising the bar for live music. Big thanks to everyone who helped us find our worthy winner for 2022.”
The night also saw performances from DICE Ones To Watch artists Amie Blu, Ray Laurél, and BXKS.
