Sebadoh will reissue their seminal album ‘Bubble and Scrape’ on 5th May.
Originially released in 1993, the album captured the band during a key transition in their history together.
The two sides of Bubble & Scrape showcase each member’s varying contributions, from Barlow’s subdued and emotive ballads, to Jason’s heavier rock edge and Eric’s psych tangents.
Much has been made of the chaos that brewed between Lou Barlow, Eric Gaffney and Jason Loewenstein. However much drama the trio might have generated, the results of their efforts proved well worth it.
Formed in 1986, it’s a feat on its own that this Massachusetts sprung outfit is still performing.
The reissue release comes during the middle of a handful of tour dates throughout the UK.
The band will perform the entire album at at London’s Koko on Wednesday 7th May. Even, an Australian powerpop act and Jennifer Gentle, an Italian psych act will provide support.
