School Of Seven Bells Return

Heaven show, single confirmed

School Of Seven Bells are set to release their new single ‘I L U’ on December 6th.

Signed to Full Time Hobby, the debut album from School Of Seven Bells became something of a cult success. Mixing Liz Fraser style vocals with shoegaze guitars and glitchy electronics, the album was a stunning introduction.

However such a definitive debut is hard to follow. Returning this year with new material, School Of Seven Bells aimed to focus on their songwriting, making their second album that bit more coherent than their debut.

‘Disconnect>From Desire’ won critical plaudits, sparking a summer of activity from the band. School Of Seven Bells played a series of international dates, before Benjamin Curtis was invited to take part in a New York fashion show.

Styled by Victoria Beckham, the catwalk show had a stunning soundtrack. Eschewing the usual electro backing, the guitarist went for something more obscure dropping cuts by Harmonia and Suicide.

Returning to the fold, School Of Seven Bells are due to release their new single ‘I L U’ on December 6th. Taken from their second album, the track will come backed with a remix from touring partners Active Child.

Meanwhile, School Of Seven Bells are set to play a London show on November 8th. Taking place in the city’s Heaven venue, the band will draw on material from their recent album and the celebrated debut.

Joining the band will be British producer Jon Hopkins, who recently worked with Brian Eno on his latest venture. A well regarded producer in his own right, Hopkins’ live show moves from dubstep to left field noise.

Tickets for the show are on sale now.
