School Of Seven Bells Album Plans

US dream pop group release album

Brooklyn shoegaze group School Of Seven Bells are set to release their new album ‘Alpinisms’ on February 23rd.

Formed around Benjamin Curtis, ex-guitarist from the Secret Machines and identical twin sisters Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, School of Seven Bells have stunned fans with their blend of electronica and ethereal pop. Named after a mythical San Francisco pickpocket school, the band’s early singles such as ‘Half Asleep’ earned rave reviews while a handful of UK gigs set tongues wagging.

Keenly anticipated debut album ‘Alpinisms’ could well be one of the year’s biggest surprises. Opening with ‘Iamundernodisguise’ the band blend afrobeat drums with chanted lyrics. Diverse yet engaging, ‘Alpinisms’ recalls classic 4AD artists such as Cocteau Twins yet continually strives to find its own distinct voice.

As with all the best new talent, School Of Seven Bells are a former ClashMusic track of the day!
