School Of Rock Soundtrack Hits Streaming For The First Time

Time to get re-acquainted...

The full School Of Rock soundtrack has just hit streaming for the very first time.

The 2003 film is a modern classic, a comedy-drama that stars Jack Black as Dewey Finn, an aspiring musician who fakes a teaching job at a prep school. Inviting the students in his class to form a band, his impromptu School Of Rock is replete with pop culture reference points – and, naturally, a killer soundtrack.

Famously one of the first times Led Zeppelin ever authorised their music to be used on the Silver Screen, the School of Rock soundtrack was almost as popular as the film itself – including the final Battle Of The Bands showdown.

Grossing $131 million worldwide on a $35 million budget, it spawned a smash-hit musical as well as a small-screen TV series.

Now the full soundtrack has just hit streaming. School Of Rock features a fresh take on the AC/DC classic ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll)’ alongside hits from Ramones, Stevie Nicks, The Doors, The Who, and more.

This time round, the soundtrack also features a new song, ‘In The End Of Time’.

School Of Rock turned 20 last year, with Jack Black organising a class re-union. Naturally, talk turned to a sequel – something the Hollywood star is actually warming to, so long as as the original film’s writer, Mike White, was involved.

Mike White starred as the actual Ned Schneebly, and most recently spearheaded the colossal success of HBO series The White Lotus.

So, one more time – listen to the School Of Rock soundtrack in full.
