Elton John's classic re-worked by the London based artist...

London based composer and songwriter Sasha Siem has shared her sublime version of Elton John's 'Your Song'.

A noted composer in the modern classical world, Sasha Siem turned to pop as a means to garner pure expression.

Since then two remarkable albums have followed, with the composer relocating to Brooklyn to follow love, and creativity.

Becoming a mother and moving to London, she's close to completing her third album, but now she's decided to share a treat with fans.

Elton John's imperial 70s pop phase has long been a source of inspiration to Sasha Siem, it's interlocking use of beautiful arrangements and carefully sculpted lyrics.

With the release of new film Rocketman this week she's decided to share her version of long-time favourite 'Your Song', a track that has played a continuing role in her own life.

It's a sparse but wonderfully nuanced rendition, getting to the emotional core of the song and presenting it in a new light.

Emblematic of the sheer passion Sasha Siem has for songwriting, you can check out 'Your Song' below.
