Sarah Kinsley has shared new song ‘Lovegod.’

The songwriter’s new EP ‘Ascension’ lands on June 9th, ushered out into the world via Verve Forecast/Decca Records UK.

Recent single ‘Oh No Darling’ staked her claim, with Sarah Kinsley now sketching out further details of the EP with a brand new song.

Discussing the EP in a note to fans, she explains that the music details “this unknown, ethereal place—the islands we create with people we have loved, where our phrases with them live, where our conversations outlast us, where every moment we have experienced lives again and again. It’s an eternal paradise.”

Appropriately, then, new song ‘Lovegod’ has a perfume-esque quality, oozing out of the speakers. Her lush, sensual vocal contains a double meaning, while Sarah builds a realm in which every note is alluring, yet nothing is truly as it seems.

She comments:

“’Lovegod’ is the most devious I think I’ve been in my writing, My own ‘lovegod’ is a perfect lover, an answer to a prayer, an antidote for romantic pessimism. Where can one find love these days? Why do we need it? Why do I find myself begging for some spiritual deliverance?”

Tune in now.
