Dutch songwriting partnership Sarah Julia have shared new single ‘Thoughtless Man’.
The duo have amassed an incredible online following, with their dulcet folk-infused tones charging across streaming services. Debut EP ‘How Do We Go Back To Being Normal?’ is out shortly, with Sarah Julia confirming plans to play the Great Escape in Brighton.
Following this, the duo will hit London’s Omeara for a one-off headline show on May 22nd – with new material in tow.
Out now, ‘Thoughtless Man’ is gentle in its savagery, taking down an ego-centric male with expert accuracy. The acoustic songwriting is reminiscent of First Aid Kit, but there’s a palpable edge, a sense of the visceral, that belongs utterly to them.

“It’s about a man who’s very self-centered and doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions. No matter how many times you try to explain it, that person won’t understand. It’s about finding out that the only way to move forward is to find peace within yourself instead of hoping for the other person to change.”
