Sampology and Charlie Hill team up with Tiana Khasi on wonderful new song ‘Constant Call’.
Worldwide FM host, sought-after DJ and dexterous producer Sampology is a key facet of Melbourne’s club community, drawing together different genres and techniques in his approach. New EP ‘Galaxy’ finds the beat maker aligning with percussionist Charlie Hill, whose stunning instrumental voice pushes the music to a different plane.
Out now, new song ‘Constant Call’ finds the pair working with vocalist Tiana Khasi, and it’s a sumptuous piece of music. The trio have an easy-going sense of creativity, with Sampology’s production nous operating alongside the powerful percussive expansion Charlie Hill offers.
These ideas – and more – are brought into focus by Tiana Khasi, whose dulcet, R&B-leaning vocal pivots between jazz improvisation and hard-hitting soul.
Of the link-up, Sampology offers: “It was great to collaborate with Tiana again after working so much with her, producing her Meghalaya project, and her singing on my song ‘Thicker Than Water’.”
Tiana adds: “The familiarity and comfort of working with Sam helped the process flow, but there was also a newness, I think this track really reflects that growth we’ve both experienced. It’s also my first time collaborating with Charlie Hill, who I I went to uni with!”
