Sampha has shared the original solo version of 'Too Much' – previously sampled by Drake.
It was only meant to be a demo. Sampha has been toying with 'Too Much' for some time, exploring the structure and the arrangement until it meets his perfectionist tendencies.
Drake stumbled across the track, and immediately fell in love with it. Sampling 'Too Much' on his globally successful album 'Nothing Was The Same' the move pushed the English artist to greater prominence.
Last night (November 6th) Zane Lowe was able to bring fans a nice surprise. Sampha has completed his own version of 'Too Much', with the recording receiving its first play on Radio 1's staple evening show.
A languid, moving recording, Sampha worked with with Emile Haynie on the track. Set to gain full release on November 12th, 'Too Much' comes backed with new track 'Happens'.
