Multi award-winning UK vocalist Sam Smith will release new album ‘Gloria’ on January 27th.
The new record was introduced a few moments ago, with Sam Smith revealing the news on socials. Their new album was recorded in locations across London, Los Angeles, and Jamaica, and it finds Sam linking up with long-time friends and collaborators Jimmy Napes, Stargate and Max Martin stablemate ILYA.
The record is billed as a work of personal evolution, with the highly personal lyricism dipping into sex, expression, and liberation. Sam Smith comments…
“It feels like emotional, sexual and spiritual liberation. It was beautiful, with this album, to sing freely again. Oddly, it feels like my first-ever record. And it feels like a coming of age.”
Set to be released on January 27th via Capitol Records, the album is teased by new single ‘Unholy’. A divine Kim Petras link-up, the song sailed straight to the top of the UK charts, while also becoming a hit internationally.
