Saint Celebrity are shifting up a gear on latest single ‘True Say’.
The track is a slice of euphoric infatuation, an exciting turn for the independent band. Following an acoustic performance on BBC Radio, the band are leaning into their indie-rock influences with a subtle nod towards pop. Sporting big drums, racing guitars, twinkling synths and an anthemic hook, ‘True Say’ marks the band’s collaborative efforts alongside gold-certified engineer and producer Matt O’Grady.
Hailing from Bristol, the band are in the formative years of their venture into music. Nevertheless, they’re already leaving their mark across local crowds, playing a string of sold-out shows across the country. Made up by Jon Gray, Vivek Rad, Mikey Cirelli and Graeme Knee, the band were recently crowned BBC Radio Bristol’s Artist of The Week, an opportunity to broaden their fanbase further.
From start to finish, ‘True Say’ notes a turning point in Saint Celebrity’s journey. Asserting their independence whilst stumbling upon a growing commercial success. Certainly ones to watch in 2023.
The band comment: “This song goes through the invincible feeling of finding your lover and best friend. You feel free and truly think you can take on the world! It’s total addiction to unity and wanting to see each other all the time. The song stems from Jon’s personal experience of finally feeling like he’d found ‘the one’.”
Tune in now.
