SadBoi’s ‘Baddies’ Is A Potent Summer Anthem

Hot Girl Summer...

Atlanta-based artist Ebhoni Cato O’Garro aka SadBoi has today unveiled her new single, ‘Baddies’, out via LVRN Records/The Orchard.

‘Baddies’, a continuation of last month’s reggaeton-inflected ‘Slide’, comprises a percolating metallic beat and lashes of undulating bass recalling Teriyaki Boys’ ‘Tokyo Drift’. Paired alongside SadBoi’s whipsmart swagger, the track is a summer anthem for the digicentric poster girl.

Earlier this year, SadBoi joined forces with alt-pop artist Lolo Zouaï for a remix of previously-released single ‘Potential‘. Originally out in June 2023, the dancehall-infused garage track garnered over one million streams on Spotify alone, and secured SadBoi a spot on the platform’s Best Pop Songs of 2023 year-end playlist.

Originally from Toronto, with Jamaican and Antiguan heritage deeply ingrained in her musical roots, SadBoi’s music weaves together elements of reggae, dancehall, and Caribbean motifs with RnB, rap, rock, and club-skewed sub-genres, creating a captivating pan-genre sound that appeals to a worldwide audience.
