Sad Night Dynamite’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ Hits Hard

It's about the search for identity...

Sad Night Dynamite have shared new song ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ – tune in now.

The production duo signalled their return with the Mafia-inspired flex ‘Godfather’, a track that revelled in moral grey areas. Cinematic in scope, ‘Godfather’ is now followed by something zesty, and a little more direct.

Out now, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ might lift its title from a long-running BBC genealogy show, but it’s actually about searching for an identity.

Finessed their sound to a sharpened point, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ finds Sad Night Dynamite revelling in muscular pop, clearing their thoughts and showing intensive alacrity.

Driven by hard-hitting 808s, it feels tailor made for those live shows. In a note, the duo describe a single “of searching for personal identity. It’s a song about not knowing your place: the lyrics are erratic and nonlinear, which is a reaction to our environment. Clear thoughts come sporadically in a world quick to distract. The key message, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’, is heard in different contexts, highlighting one’s inner battles and how the answer to that question is always different from one day to the next.”
