Rising artist Sabrina Claudio has been criticised after old tweets were uncovered using racist language.
Following a conversation with a fan the artist confirmed she previously ran a Twitter account called @ODamnYourUgly, leading to a search through old messages.
Some had been deleted, but others hadn't, and it seems the account had a predilection for using offensive language.
Insults against black women and light skinned latina women were uncovered, leading to a widespread backlash on social media.

Sabrina – who is Cuban and Puerto Rican – seems to have deleted the bulk of these old messages, but has not commented on the existence of the account.
Earlier this year, she also wrote on Instagram that someone was a “sweaty chonga.”

Sabrina Claudio has apologised for her tweets – find her statement HERE.
