Ryley Walker is set to release new album 'Golden Sings That Have Been Sung' on August 19th.
Ryley Walker isn't someone to simply sit around twiddling his thumbs. Utilising Kerouac's old idiom of 'first thought, best thought' the songwriter hurls himself into project after project.
New album 'Golden Sings That Have Been Sung' is the perfect example. Returning to his home in Chicago after an exhausting 200 date tour, he decided against rest – and began work on fresh material with former Wilco cohort LeRoy Bach.
Written and recorded in a matter of days, the results have a remarkable freshness. Ryley Walker explains in the press note: “It was everything I wanted it to be… I would go to LeRoy’s house every other day with a riff, and we would take it from there.”
New cut 'The Halfwit In Me' is online now – check it out below.
