Alt country troubadour Ryan Adams has revealed where he used to hide his stash of drugs when on tour in Los Angeles.
Ryan Adams has been busy of late – hell, the workaholic singer is always busy. But where once Adams filled his time by writing several albums worth of material in a single night, he has now become an author. A series of blog postings told fans he had given up music for writing, with his first book ‘Infinity Blues’ due out soon.
The singer almost immediately went back on that promise, however, going on tour in Australia and releasing a special download only Valentine’s EP. That release had extra relevance for Adams who had recently got engaged to girlfriend Mandy Moore. Never one to hang around, Ryan Adams married the actress soon after in a short ceremony in Los Angeles.
Whilst in the city the singer may have stopped by the Roosevelt Hotel, which is apparently where he used to stash his drugs while on tour. “I used to hide my pot in the ventilator shaft for every time I returned with a few Xanax for coming down from the boozing” he told the Los Angeles Star.
However due to an increase in celebrities using the hotel, Ryan Adams has stopped this practice. “It was always there as they never dusted the place. Not so anymore.”
A stampede of ClashMusic readers can now be seen heading towards the Roosevelt Hotel, searching through the ventilator shafts.
Ryan Adams is set to release his debut novel ‘Infinity Blues’ later this year.
