Acclaimed American singer Ryan Adams has held an auction of his artwork for charity.
Ryan Adams is a confusing man to follow. Acclaimed for his music the singer has released a myriad of albums, seeming to have an endless flow of musical creativity.
However earlier this year Ryan Adams shocked fans by announcing that he was through with music. Retiring in favour of focussing on his writing and art, the singer then went back on his word by playing a series of tour dates.
Since then, the singer has released two books and crafted a sizeable collection of artworks. In addition to this, Ryan Adams has also been working as a games reviewer applying his always entertaining wordplay to the world of retro gaming.
Ryan Adams announced a new auction in New York last week. Held in the Morrison Hotel Gallery, the singer sold off a series of paintings and collages with all proceeds going to the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe.
Devoted to working with New York’s homeless, the charity also devotes time to helping those suffering with AIDs.
Last month Ryan Adams became the Morrison Hotel Gallery’s first artist in residence. Creating a number of brand new canvasses, the singer will now display his work in public.
The Morrison Hotel Gallery will show Ryan Adams paintings until October 15th. For more information just click HERE!
