Rusko Burns Down His House

Don't worry everything is safe

Rusko has accidentally burned down his house shortly before the beginning of a British tour.

Hailing from Leeds, Rusko was introduced to dubstep when the genre was still in its infancy. Constructing a number of underground cuts, the producer added more upbeat elements to the sound.

Gaining huge popularity, Rusko became arguably dubstep’s first crossover success. Massive in the States, the influence of his sound has resulted in the so-called ‘bro-step’ scene which emulates his massive production style.

Recently working with M.I.A. the producer completed his new album ‘OMG’ over the summer. Preparing to return to the UK for a short tour, Rusko packed up his things and left the house yesterday morning (November 7th).

Returning earlier today, the producer discovered that his car had gone alight, which then caused extensive damage to his house. A shocked Rusko posted on Twitter: “My house!!! Not a joke. Thank god I grabbed my hard-drives.”

The full extent of the damage caused by the fire is unknown. No one was harmed, although Rusko’s car would seem to be a write off.

Ah well…

The producer touches down in the UK this weekend for a short blast of live appearances. Rusko will open the tour at Fabric’s Beatdown event on November 12th, before travelling to Bristol later the same night.

Dates in Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff are to follow before the tour wraps up at the end of the month. Finishing in Birmingham on November 27th, tickets for the shows are on sale now.
