Tis the season to be jolly, as they say, and few make the Clash team jollier than Run The Jewels.
The hip-hop pairing may have been overlooked for a Grammy, but that's just a trinket in the grand scheme of things. What the duo have instead, though, is a kick ass Christmas range of merch – and it's on sale now.
Perhaps the pick is this incredible festive jumper – pick it up HERE.
As if that wasn't enough, Run The Jewels flew into London at the weekend for a very special Boiler Room x Converse Rubber Tracks show. Taking place at the 100 Club, the full night featured particularly fine sets from Livin' Proof, Alxndr London and Petite Noir, but – in truth – the crowd were there to see one act only.
Leaping onstage with trademark energy, Run The Jewels pulled out all the stops, scattering material from both studio albums across the set. Killer Mike continually joked with the crowd, warning that their new boxfresh white Converse were about to get hella messy…
El-P perhaps summed the night up, reflecting that despite being able to draw huge crowds at headline shows and festivals the pair owe their roots to tiny club shows. Leaving to utter adulation from the London crowd, it's enough to give further creedence to that ol' Chuck D missive: "who gives a fuck about a God damn Grammy?"
