Legendary London-Irish punk-folk troupe The Pogues are set to release a remarkable treasure trove of rarities in a career-spanning 5-CD box set.
Compiled by the band themselves, material is said to range from their first, pre-Stiff, demos to their re-union shows at Brixton in 2001. Other gems from their back catalogue include unreleased songs from a collaboration with Steve Earle, as well as deleted b-sides and BBC Sessions. Containing a hefty selection of special live performances, the box set will no doubt underline what a varied and special band The Pogues truly are.
“Just Look Them Straight In The Eye And Say… Pogue Mahone!” – the 5-CD boxset by The Pogues – will be released on April 28th.
