Royksopp Praise Scandinavian Talent

Band prepare new album

Norwegian electronic duo Royksopp have praised the quality of Scandinavian talent ahead of the release of their forthcoming third album.

Two chilled out hombres, Royksopp hit paydirt with their debut album ‘Melody AM’ 2001. Soundtracking the post Millennial comedown, the group’s blissful electronic music is a potent pop formula.

Royksopp are set to release their third album ‘Junior’ on March 23rd. A collaborative affair, the group roped in guest vocalists such as Karin Dreijer, Lykke Li, Robyn and Anneli Drecker.

In an interview with Gigwise Svein Berge said “there are a lot of good things coming out of Scandinavia at the moment from Sweden, Norway and Denmark.”

“We know these people and they know us: it is all intertwined and very inclusive, the whole operation. I don’t mind being associated with these enormously talented artists. Royksopp are a bit on the side of it, but we try and invite ourselves into that clique, obviously.”

Royksopp are set to release their new album ‘Junior’ on March 23rd.
