Long a staging ground for established talent, the historic Royal Albert Hall has confirmed that it will begin to showcase up and coming British talent.
The Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s oldest and most established music venues, playing host to legendary shows by The Rolling Stones, The Who and many more. Now younger, less well known bands will be given the opportunity to strut their stuff when the venue flings open its doors.
Launching this May, the venue’s 5,200 capacity audience will be thrilling to the best in new British talent. The first gig in the initiative will include a special performance from hot new Liverpool band The Wombats, who will no doubt have the massive venue contemplating the irony of dancing to Joy Division.
Details of future Albert Sessions will be made available as we get them.
