Rough Trade Shops Reveal Albums Of The Year 2022 List

Who will reign supreme...?

Rough Trade shops have reveal their Albums Of The Year 2022 list.

It’s most wonderful time of the year…

Yep, list season is now upon us! Record shops are traditionally the first to reveal their Albums Of The Year list, allowing customers time to reflect, and perhaps purchase a few Christmas presents.

Rough Trade shops fire the starting pistol on this year’s list race, with Jack White’s ‘Fear Of The Dawn’ emerging triumphant.

The full 100 strong list is available online, and was voted for by staff across the different branches of Rough Trade. Elsewhere in the Top 10, you can find (admittedly brilliant) Radiohead side hustle The Smile, Mercury nominees Yard Act, Irish post-punk romantics Fontaines DC, and future-pop aesthete Rina Sawayama.

Black Country, New Road are in sixth place with their album ‘Ants From Up There’, while yeule’s magnificent ‘Glitch Princess’ is at No. 7.

black midi and Wet Leg take their spots in the Top 10, which is rounded up by The Lounge Society.
