Ross From Friends Announces Debut Album ‘Family Portrait’

It's set to be released on July 27th...

Ross From Friends has announced plans for his debut album 'Family Portrait'.

The producer is part of what has loosely been termed 'lo-fi house', a raw, analogue counterpoint to modern developments in club culture.

Signing to Brainfeeder, debut album 'Family Portrait' is set to be released on July 27th.

His most ambitious project yet, Ross From Friends explains: "I tried to be careful with every single sound. Trying new things, making a bit more of an explosive sound”.

The producer also utilises his voice for the first time, with the title – 'Family Portrait' – referring to each track's role as a snapshot.

He continues: “Every time I went to make music the things which would really grab me are the emotional things, and while I’m in that place I felt I could really focus on the track. That was a massive part of this album, tapping into my emotions… into my emotional instability”.
