UK hip hop’s leading light Roots Manuva is set for a no doubt triumphant return next month as the beat guru gets set to release his new single “Buff Nuff”.
Since the release of “Alternately Depp” in 2006 Roots Manuva has been hidden away, returning to his origins as a beat alchemist to reconfigure his sound. “Buff Nuff” is a collaboration with red hot Sheffield dubstep producer Toddla T, and features Rodney Smith aka Roots Manuva rhyming about trying to bed a young lady.
A lively and highly humorous record, “Buff Nuff” is an astonishing return by one of the true legends in UK hip hop.
“Buff Nuff” is released on June 30th, with the parent album “Slime And Reason” due to hit the shops on August 25th.
