Rolling Stones icon Ronnie Wood is set to launch a new fashion range with high end department store Liberty.
There’s no point being a bunch a renegade rock ‘n’ roll outlaws unless you look like a bunch of renegade rock ‘n’ roll outlaws.
Take The Rolling Stones. The definitive rock bad boys, the group have evolved their own mixture of bohemian gypsy chic, resembling a gang of Romany musicians crossed with a pirate crew.
Now fans can wear clothes designed by the group’s long time guitarist Ronnie Wood is set to launch a new fashion range. As well as music Wood is a huge fan of art, with his own paintings having appeared in several exhibitions.
Now some of those designs are due to appear in a forthcoming range of clothing and accessories from Liberty.
Launching yesterday (October 27th) Ronnie Wood has joined forces with Liberty’s creative director Tamara Salman to produce a small collection which utilises some of the guitarist’s paintings.
Among the three paintings used for the designs are I Feel Like A Painting, which Ronnie Wood claims was inspired by ”the day when I decided to turn my life around”.
However be warned – the clothes come with a price. The I Feel Like A Painting shift dress is available for £495, while the leather day bag costs £715.
The new clothing range will be sold through Liberty, as well as Harrods in London and a variety of other stores around the world.
