Rolling Stones Share Live Version Of ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’

Recorded in session back in 1965...

The Rolling Stones have shared an early live version of '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction'.

The single is one of the band's most iconic recordings, so engrained in the popular consciousness that even non-fans probably know most of the words.

It's always nice, then, to hear it in a slightly different context, such as the version that appears on new compilation 'On Air'.

A collection of early radio recordings, it features sessions laid down on the likes of Saturday Club, Top Gear, Rhythm and Blues and The Joe Loss Pop Show between 1963 and 1965.

This new version of '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' is stripped down and boasts a slightly slower, bluesier tempo. Things to note: Jagger's preening lyric, and that acoustic guitar track holding the whole thing together.

Tune in now.

'The Rolling Stones – On Air' is releases on December 1st.
