RockNess have confirmed that Mumford & Sons, Biffy Clyro and deadmau5 will headline this summer's event.

Held by the banks of Loch Ness, RockNess started as a one day dance festival. Expanding year on year, it is arguably Scotland's wildest party with fans from across Europe descending on the Northern site.

Tickets for this summer's instalment went on sale this morning (January 26th) with organisers confirming the first names on the line up. Mumford & Sons will return to the Highlands once again, following last year's hugely successful tour.

A band with close connections to the North of Scotland, Mumford & Sons will headline this summer's RockNess. Currently working on their second album, the festival slot will no doubt come as welcome relief from festival tedium.

Scotland's own Biffy Clyro will dominate the line up on Saturday night, with the trio due to headline RockNess. Arena stomping rock monsters, the Ayrshire group finished 2011 with a sold out show at Wembley.

Bringing their rock assault to the banks of Loch Ness, Biffy Clyro will return to their native Caledonia for a special festival slot. Finally, Canadian superstar DJ deadmau5 is due to close RockNess with a headline show on the Sunday night.

The producer will bring his epic live show to RockNess, before fans depart to soak up the atmosphere in the late night bars and clubs.

French electro titans Justice are also named on the bill, with Death In Vegas, Gesaffelstein, T-E-E-D and more set to join the line up.

Rising R&B star Azealia Banks will perform at RockNess, with her debut album expected to be one of 2012's most dissected new releases. Planning her first trip to Scotland, the American singer joins a varied line up which includes Chic (featuring Nile Rodgers), Wretch 32, Metronomy and Riton.

Weekend and day tickets went on sale this morning (January 26th).

RockNess runs between June 8th - 10th.
