The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is due to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a series of epic concerts.
Founded over two decades ago, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame honours some of the biggest artists in the history of popular music. Inductees include The Beatles, Elvis Presley, U2 and countless others, with the induction ceremonies frequently being lavish affairs.
However the Hall Of Fame has also made an effort to shed light on the less well known talents whose innovations have nonetheless moved rock ‘n’ roll forwards. Sidemen, session musicians and back up singers have all found their efforts rewarded, as the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame tries to give as wide a picture of modern music as possible.
Recent inductees include Metallica, who played a stunning set after receiving entrance into the Hall Of Fame. The band were joined by legendary guitar player Jeff Beck, as well as soul group Little Anthony And The Imperials.
Now reaching the ripe old age of 25, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is due to celebrate its birthday with a number of special concerts.
Rumours had been flying of star names uniting for the concert, and organisers have not left fans disappointed with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, U2, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and more confirmed to make an appearance.
Fans had suggested that The Eagles and newly reformed duo Simon & Garfunkel could perform, but these have yet to be confirmed.
So far details are scarce, although it has been confirmed that the two concerts will take place on October 29th and 30th at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The actual Hall Of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio. The museum contains many rare artefacts showing the developments of modern rock music, and is open all year round. Acts are voted into the Hall Of Fame after a ballot process involving over one thousand music industry figures.
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25th anniversary celebrations are due to take place between October 29th – 30th.
