Robert Sotelo crafts cosmic pop that is both whimsical and overwhelming.
2017's psych-speckled debut 'Cusp' was a remarkable achievement, swiftly followed by last year's excellent 'Botanical' full length.
New album 'Infinite Sprawling' lands on September 13th through Upset The Rhythm, an ever-dependable force for underground arts in the UK.
Fresh from supporting Tim Presley's White Fence at London venue Oslo, Robert Sotelo's fresh live set up features Ruari from Vital Idles and Edwin from Irma Vep.
We're able to share the title cut from his new record, this blistering slice of outsider songcraft with a vivid extra-dimensional pop element.
The curious claymation video has a surreal homemade feel that is perfectly in keeping with his work. Robert Sotelo comments:
The video was made by Iain McCall who plays sax with me sometimes, and the song is about living in a place most people would view as a paradise but hating it, the video is totally unrelated to this haha and seems to be about empowerment and general weirdness.
Tune in now.
