Ringo Deathstarr Confirm New EP

'Shadow EP' due on November 7th

Ringo Deathstarr are set to release their new ‘Shadow EP’ on November 7th.

Ringo Deathstarr don’t like to hang around. The American group released their debut album proper ‘Colour Trip’ last February, spending the bulk of the year on the road.

Since then, though, the group have managed to collect some of their early singles on the Club AC 30 compilation ‘Sparkler’. Continually pushing forward, Ringo Deathstarr are currently hard at work in the studio putting the finishing touches to album #2.

Before then, though, the band are plotting a new EP. Containing four brand new tracks, ‘Shadow EP’ is set to drop on November 7th, released as a digital download before being given a vinyl pressing.

Opening with ‘Shadow’ the EP contains the tracks ‘New Way’ and ‘Prisms’. By way of a climax, Ringo Deathstarr have decided to cover ‘Just You’ from the second series of cult American drama ‘Twin Peaks’.

Pressed on 10 inch vinyl, the wax will apparently be Japanese cherry blossom coloured – with added scent.

As if that wasn’t enough, Ringo Deathstarr have also revealed plans for a series of remixes with guest producers including Tim Burgess from the Charlatans, Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai and Dean Garcia from Curve.

Taking a break from the studio, the band are set to play this year’s CMJ Conference before heading out to Japan. Preparing to complete their second album, Ringo Deathstarr are looking ahead to a British tour early next year.
