American left-field guitar duo may be unfamiliar to most, but hopefully that will change after the UK release of their self-titled debut album.
Dave Heumann and Nathan Bell have, in their previous careers, played with American alt.rock royalty such a Lungfish, Cass McCombs, Bonnie “Prince” Billy and Papa M.
The Human Bell album was largely recorded by Paul Oldham, and showcases the duo’s beautiful guitar duets. With a downbeat, post-rock atmosphere the record should win a few fans amongst those with more experimental ears.
“Human Bell” is released on January 28th on Thrill Jockey.
