Richard Ashcroft Has Re-Recorded ‘Bittersweet Symphony’

For new solo album 'Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1'...

Richard Ashcroft has shared a re-recorded version of 'Bittersweet Symphony'.

The Verve frontman has ploughed through his archive, recording acoustic arrangements of some of his best-loved songs.

'Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1' hits home on October 29th, produced by Richard Ashcroft alongside Chris Potter.

The album opens with 'Bittersweet Symphony', and it's the first track to be released from the project.

Online now, it's a stripped back version of the evergreen anthem; other highlights on the album include a guest spot from Liam Gallagher ‘C’mon People (We’re Making It Now)’ and a re-worked version of 'The Thing Called Life' initially recorded for the United Nations Of Sound project.
