UPDATE: TMZ have independently verified the news.
28 year old Takeoff was a key part of Migos, forming the group with his uncle Quavo, and cousin Offet. Together, the three-piece found colossal success, with their ‘Culture’ trilogy helping to re-shape commercial hip-hop in a new decade.
A noted solo artist, Takeoff’s 2018 album ‘The Last Rocket’ found widespread acclaim. With Migos on hiatus, Quavo and Takeoff united separately, releasing their duo album ‘Only Built For Infinity Links’ earlier this year.
In our review, Clash wrote: “At its best, though, the record more than justifies the excitement – the post-Migos landscape is looking very inviting indeed.”
Shocked fans are immediately showing their support for the other members of Migos:
